Using a working model currently on display in the Bennett Civic Center Library, the Livonia Amateur Radio Club (LARC) will demonstrate how a “cubesat” or “microsat” transmits and receives voice and data signals among licensed “ham” radio operators, and how everyone can monitor the signals from dozens of these “ham sats” now in orbit. While this program is geared to the Amateur Radio community, anyone interested in space, electronics or communications is welcome. Registration is required.
