Scott Ellsworth: The Ground Breaking

Scott Ellsworth: The Ground Breaking

Join award-winning writer Scott Ellsworth via Zoom for a discussion of the horrific 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, which is the subject of his newest book, The Ground Breaking: An American City and Its Search for Justice. Scott will discuss the events surrounding the massacre, its decades-long cover-up, and the ongoing archaeological and true-crime saga of the search and identification of victims. The Ground Breaking: An American City and Its Search for Justice was longlisted for both the National Book Award and the Carnegie Medal. We will be giving away at random one signed copy of the book to a program attendee.

Attend the Zoom program at your own computer or watch the program in the comfort of the library’s auditorium. Registration is required for at-home Zoom viewing only. The Zoom link will be emailed to all registered participants one hour before the event.
