DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to welcome award-winning author and naturalist 
 Sy Montgomery to Livonia Public Library via Zoom!  Montgomery’s book Of 
 Time and Turtles: Mending the World\, Shell by Shattered Shell is the 
 featured title for the City of Livonia’s 2024 One City\, One Book 
 event.\n\nMontgomery’s 34 books have garnered many honors. The Soul of an 
 Octopus was a 2015 Finalist for the National Book Awards. The Good Good 
 Pig\, her memoir of life with her pig\, Christopher Hogwood\, is an 
 international bestseller.  She has been chased by an angry silverback 
 gorilla in Zaire and bitten by a vampire bat in Costa Rica\, worked in a 
 pit crawling with 18\,000 snakes in Manitoba and handled a wild tarantula 
 in French Guiana.  \n\nWe hope you'll join us in the auditorium for a 
 virtual visit and Q&A with the author The Boston Globe called “Part 
 Indiana Jones and part Emily Dickinson.”\n\nIf you prefer to attend 
 remotely via Zoom\, please register below. All registered attendees will be 
 emailed the Zoom access link one hour prior to the program. Registration is 
 not required if you would like to attend in person in the Library's 
 auditorium.
